I’ve come to realize something: readiness doesn’t come from hours of planning or perfect timing. You’ll be ready when it’s already there, staring you in the face. That’s when you step up, because you have no other choice.
I’m not as experienced as someone who’s seen decades more life than me, but in my 27 years on this planet, I’ve learned this: overthinking and worrying about failure only holds you back. Whatever life throws at you, you’ll find a way to rise.
Becoming a Mom at 26
When I became a mom at 26, I wasn’t ready. Let’s face it, 26 isn’t too young. I had a stable job that allowed me to work from home, free from the chaos of daily commutes. Yet, even with everything seemingly in place, I felt unprepared, scared, and uncertain about whether I could handle it.
But here’s the thing—I’m doing it. I didn’t need to have it all figured out to be a good mom. What I needed was the belief that I could do it.
You Don’t Need to Be Ready
Life doesn’t wait for your readiness. It simply hands you what you’re meant to handle. Trust me when I say that you don’t need to be completely prepared to take on something new. You just need to tell yourself, I’ve got this.
Technology as a Lifeline
One of the unsung heroes in my journey has been technology. From parenting hacks to digital tools that make life easier, I’ve been able to lean on these modern conveniences to navigate the chaos.
Trust Yourself
Here’s what I believe: if life has placed something on your path, it’s because you’re meant to face it. God knows your capacity to handle challenges, even when you doubt yourself.
So, don’t let fear stop you. Be smart, stay active, and open yourself to learning through experience. The answers to your doubts aren’t out there somewhere—they’re already inside you. You just need to quiet the noise and listen carefully to your own inner voice.
