I’m beyond thrilled to share a little backstory behind my brand, PUFF4YOU. It’s more than just a name. It’s a dream stitched together by time, courage, creativity, and a whole lot of hustle.

Why I Chose the Name PUFF4YOU
So why “PUFF4YOU”? Honestly, it was the first name that popped into my head when I imagined something bold, colorful, and universal. It felt playful and free, like something that didn’t need overthinking. Sometimes, the first idea is the truest one. And this one just felt right, its like you are naming one of your child and thats what you feel the perfect one.
Ever since I became a mama and started working from home, I’ve dreamed of building something of my own. I found myself constantly reaching for clothes that were comfy and quick, but I also wanted pieces that still felt me something with a little flair, a little story, a little “oomph.”
I’ve always loved fashion. But this time, I wasn’t just chasing style, I was chasing a purpose. PUFF4YOU was born from that dream. And here we are.
The First Collection: A Cultural Tribute
Our first drop? A love letter to my roots. I designed three unique sweatshirts, each one inspired by a piece of Philippine history.

• Las Islas Filipinas
This was the very first name of the Philippines, coined during the Spanish colonial era in honor of King Philip II. I chose this name to remind us of where we came from—because before all the change, there was identity. This design is a tribute to our beginnings.
• Maria Clara

Inspired by the iconic Filipina character from José Rizal’s novel Noli Me Tangere, Maria Clara represents modesty, grace, and strength. I wanted this piece to echo the quiet confidence that Filipinas carry, whether they’re walking into a room or walking through life’s storms.
• Embroidered Seashells

This one hits close to home. I grew up near the islands, where ocean waves and seashells weren’t just scenery or a view for me , they were childhood memories. Starfish, shells, sea breezes. they’re permanently inked in my heart. So I turned that nostalgia into wearable art.
Building a Brand From Scratch
For the past 3 months, I’ve been grinding, processing legal papers like BIR, DTI etc., researching designs, learning the ropes of branding, and doing everything I can to make PUFF4YOU official and real. Every peso, every hour, every ounce of energy, I really treat them like my sword in this journey. I’m not afraid of trying new things because I believe that experience is already a form of winning.
What I Learned From My First Business
Back in 2019, I ran a small physical clothing store. I didn’t take it too seriously at the time, I was juggling a full-time job, and to be honest, I didn’t know as much as I do now. But that experience? It taught me what not to do. Now, as a freelancer, I have the time, drive, and knowledge to pour myself fully into this.
The Heart of PUFF4YOU: Slow Fashion and Cultural Connection
What helps PUFF4YOU stand its ground, even in a market full of big brands, because of connection. I don’t just sell sweatshirts. I tell stories. I share culture. I build relationships. And I make sure every piece finds a home with someone who truly values it.
We don’t mass-produce. We don’t outsource. Every piece is crafted by local artisans “Filipinos making clothes for Filipinos“. I also joined communities of small business owners to stay connected, learn from others, and grow with purpose.
From product development to social media, inventory to website design—yep, I do it all. And if you’re wondering how? Simple: I love learning. Wins are great, but lessons? Even better 🙂
And here’s my final Thoughts: What 3 Months Can Do
It’s been just two months since PUFF4YOU launched, and already I’ve seen growth—new friends, loyal customers, and moments I’ll remember forever. I once answered in a job interview:
“In five years, I see myself owning a fashion store.”
And now? I’m living it.
But you know what? So much can happen in just three months.
Maybe someone just quit a toxic job.
Maybe someone finally forgave someone.
Maybe someone is chasing a long-forgotten hobby.
Maybe someone just graduated.
Or maybe—just maybe—someone like me finally started something they’ve always dreamed of.
If you’re feeling stuck right now, ask yourself:
“What do I want to accomplish in 3 months?”
Then go do it. Step by step.
You don’t have to have it all figured out.
You just have to start. like righ now as in now!! :))
